A young woman is found beheaded in a business tycoon’s marble-lined hallway. Jesper Orre, the scandal-ridden CEO of the retail chain Clothes & More, has vanished.  Who is the dead woman? And who is the brutal killer who wielded the machete?
Rewind two months earlier to meet Emma Bohman, a sales assistant for Clothes & More, whose life is turned upside down by a chance encounter with Jesper Orre. Insisting that their love affair is kept secret, he shakes Emma’s world a second time when he suddenly leaves her with no explanation.
As frightening things begin to happen to Emma, she suspects Jesper is responsible. But why does he want to hurt her? And how far would he go to silence his secret lover?
I seem to just love Zaffre books. I hope readers don’t get nightmares from reading The Ice Beneath Her. I couldn’t put the hardback down. I have already order a copy of More Bitter Than Death by Camilla Grebe. In The Ice Beneath Her,  people do strange things to each other sometimes for no reason. The police find the lower body of a woman she’s been beheaded in Jesper’s house. Forty-five year old Jesper Andreas Orre the CEO of  a retail chain store Clothes & More has disappeared, he is possibly guilty of a brutal murder. He is a womaniser. Emma Bohman is seeing Jesper in secret. The police are having problems finding out who the beheaded woman is and need to question Jesper. I can’t spoil any readers delight in this gripping thriller, so much good stuff goes on in this chilling thriller, with twists in the story you will never see coming.  I highly recommend this psychological thriller.
