ANOTHER LOVE AMANDA PROWSE

In the early years of their love affair, Romilly was happy. She had worked hard for her stunning, modern house in one of Bristol’s most fashionable suburbs. She adored her gorgeous, gap-toothed daughter and her handsome, kind husband. Sure, life was sometimes exhausting – but nothing that a large glass of wine at the end of the day couldn’t fix.

And then a new neighbour arrived and everything unravelled. A glass of wine became a bottle; one bottle became two. Romilly’s family were once everything to her. Now, after years of hiding the drinking, she must finally admit that she has found another love…

MY REVIEW

Another Love is a real tear-jerker. An unputdownable family drama that confronts the controversial issue of middle class women’s alcoholism. I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Romilly lies to everyone and goes to great lengths to hide what she drinks. Now her and her husband David have a Celeste he wishes that Romilly his wife wouldn’t drink any more. She needs help she is an alcoholic. Romilly had it all a nice home, a husband that loves her and a beautiful daughter. But through drinking Romilly lost her husband, her job and she don’t see her little girl any more. She can’t see a future for her self if she doesn’t stop drinking. Amanda did a lot of research into alcohol abuse, which is becoming an increasing problem amongst middle-class women over 40.
