Heather agrees to a group camping holiday with Dougie and his friends because she’s desperate to get closer to him. But when the two of them disturb a pagan burial site above the beach, she becomes certain that they have woken a malevolent spirit. Something is alive out there in the pitch-black dark, and it is planning to wreak deadly revenge.
One year later Heather knows that she was very lucky to escape Black Cairn Point but she is still waiting for Dougie to wake from his coma. If he doesn’t, how will she prove her sanity, and her innocence?
I can not believe how good Black Cairn Point is.  Full marks to Claire McFall for playing with a few different  ranges between styles to this creepy story.
A group of friends all agree to go to Black Cairn Point for a camping holiday. While they are at the camping site they disturb a pagan burial site above the beach. Heather becomes certain that they have woken a malevolent spirit.
Along the way the characters are captured in various different ways. Martin Robertson was the first of the group that just disappeared. Darren Gibson vanished from the cove when he was collecting firewood with Emma.  After Darren’s disappearance Emma Collins had strange behaviour and then later she disappeared. The only two that are left in the group are Dougie and Hannah. Chaos is unleashed as Dougie disappears right in front of Hannah, but she can not save him.
Hannah is taken to Dr Petersen facility by court order where she is locked in an isolated room.  Hannah wants everyone to know that a supernatural creature from hell took all her friends. But Dr Petersen wants to know what really happened. How did everyone disappear? It seemed like her family and Dr Petersen was calling her insane, crazy or a murderer. Then Hannah finds out that Dougie was in a coma in hospital.
The questioned I asked myself is she really insane or a murderer? The story creates a delicious stir. I was eager to find out if everything that happened really did happen or was there really more to Hannah.
Will Dougie be out of his coma before Hannah is due to go to court again for a second trail? And could he save her from being sent to jail.?
A super buy. Black Cairn Point leaves you stunned and addicted with a great mixture of friendship, supernatural combined with a chilling atmospheric thriller.
