A missing girl. A hope never lost.

A killer never found.

Twenty years ago Claire Scott’s eldest sister, Julia, went missing. No one knew ere she went no note, no body. It was a mystery that was never solved and it tore her family apart.

Now another girl has disappeared, with chilling echoes of the past. And it seems that she might not be the only one.

Claire is convinced Julia’s disappearance is linked.

But when she begins to learn the truth about her sister, she is confronted with a shocking discovery, and nothing will ever be the same.

A family tragedy their nineteen year old daughter goes missing. The family demand answers from the sheriff but he can not give any. The Sheriff claimed a week would pass, a month, maybe a year, and she would come back into their lives offering a half-hearted apology. The family had search parties organized. They kept phoning the hospitals and police stations and homeless shelters. Posted fliers were put around the town. They knocked on doors and talked to their missing daughter’s friends.  Appealed to the media. The family even hired a private detective.
Is all the family know is their daughter was in a bar and she told her friends she wasn’t feeling very well and that she was going to walk home and that was the last time anyone ever reported seeing her.
I have read many of Karin Slaughters books . Pretty Girls is a whodunnit that keeps you guessing.
