We all think we know who we are.

What we’re capable of.

Roz is a single mother, a physiotherapist, a sister, a friend. She’s also desperate.

Her business has gone under, she’s crippled by debt and she’s just had to explain to her son why someone’s take all their furniture away.

But now a stranger has made her an offer. For one night with her,he’ll pay enough to bring her back from the edge.

Roz has a choice to make.

I felt really sorry for Roz Toovey, she used to be a self – employed physiotherapist, but when no money was left she had no choice but to work fifty hours a week for a chain of clinics. It was really hard for Roz when her husband left her she found herself without a home, without a business, and a small child to support. She should have declared herself bankrupt. There are many striking images here where some people go through the same thing. The bailiffs had removed all the furniture. You get the feeling of a very real sense of danger for Roz is about to happen as Scott Elias offers Roz to spend just one night with him and name her price.   It appears Scott has made Roz an offer that she knew she wouldn’t refuse. I found this new story by the much-loved author Paula Daly scarily believable.
