He was about to commit a forbidden act. A transgression. For a man should never go through a woman’s handbag.

Bookseller Laurent Letellier comes across an abandoned handbag on a Parisian street, and feels impelled to return it to its owner.
The bag contains no money, phone or contact information. But a small red notebook with handwritten thoughts and jottings reveals a person that Laurent would very much like to meet.
Without even a name to go on, and only a few of her possessions to help him, how is he to find one woman in a city of millions?
My review
Antoine Laurain is the best-selling author of The President’s Hat.
A lovely short story of romance. I highly recommend it. A man out from nowhere grabs a woman’s bag as she is about to unlock her door. Shaken without no money she crosses the road to stay in a hotel room. A bookseller Laurent Letellier comes across the abandoned handbag on top of a bin. Laurent Letellier is set on finding out who this handbag belongs to. Laure and Laurent both go through in life a journey of their own. This author delivers a deeply satisfying unusual story to keep the readers firmly on their toes.
