My review

Rachel was the new girl in the class and Clara was the friend everyone wanted. The two instantly fell under one another’s spell  and nothing would ever be  the same again. This story starts of in the present time of September 2007 and flits back to their school days together in the year September 1993.

Rachel now is her late twenties and has a TV career as a crime correspondent in the NNN newsroom appearing on TV. She often spent her days listening to defendants protest their innocence. Money is no object for Rachel she is seen wearing expensive clothes and Tiffany jewellery with the mulberry bag and blackberry.

Clara is supposed to meet Rachel, Sarah and Debbie at the Cantina Latina club in Brighton for a small school reunion, But Clara fail’s to make appearance. Rachel decides to call it a night  and leaves the club. The next day Rachel as a crime news correspondent is whisked on set to talk about the disappearance of her best friend Clara. Police are rather concerned for Clara as this is completely out of character. Has Clara committed suicide? Has she been abducted? or has something else happened to her?.

This story throws the spotlight on the fine line between love and hate, and leaves you wondering just who can you trust? This story is a gripping suspenseful thriller. It captures you right from the very the first page until the very end. Just when you think you have worked something out twist appear. You will this story so easy to follow. I highly recommend this book to crime fan’s.
